Update (as of 9/19/17): We continue to hear from readers who have found low-cost, but safe and certified, glasses at King Soopers ( usually stored behind the counter at the Service Desk), 7-Eleven and Walmart - around $2 a pair. It’s no fun (and a waste of gas and time) to drive around unnecessarily. There is a huge demand for them, so, regardless of location, call ahead to confirm availability. You need ones that are NASA-approved and ISO-certified. And never ever look directly at the sun without proper protection. Again, many spots will run out, so arrive early if you still need a pair.Ī regular pair of sunglasses won’t cut it. Nearly all on our list here are providing FREE glasses to participants.
